Quechua R&D centre solar power plant
In operation
The worldwide creation centre for the Quechua brand (Decathlon Group), specialised in hiking and camping gear, is established in Passy, right at the foot of the Mont-Blanc. In line with its CSR policy, the brand has committed to converting to 100% renewable energy by 2026.
In this framework and through its Helexia supplier, Entech produced and installed the rooftop solar power plant that provides the energy consumed in the Quechua-Passy R&D centre.
Entech implemented a self-consumption system with a clamping device that allows energy to be produced as needed, thus preventing non-consumed energy from being re-injected into the grid. Our teams ran the whole installation, from the integration system to the photovoltaic panels, and connected the building’s low-voltage switch board inverters.
Our client now has remote access to its consumption and to a system for managing its self-consumption. The power plant has been operational since February 2020, and supplies the equivalent of the annual energy consumption of 94 homes
