Commitment of governance and decision-making bodies

Entech has adopted a structuration approach that prioritizes balanced governance bodies, both in terms of gender representation and in the inclusion of insiders and outsiders to the company. This approach aims to incorporate diverse experiences, cultures, and perspectives within the board of directors, enhancing the decision-making process.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) topics are given significant attention at the highest level. The board of directors closely monitors non-financial performance indicators. Consequently, an ESG evaluation is conducted annually to assess the effectiveness of our CSR actions using benchmark methods to compare our performance score to other similar organizations. According to this report, the company has achieved a rating of 74/100, reflecting an “Gold” performance level of the new Gaïa reference system, which was recently completely overhauled.

Satisfaction surveys are shared to our employees regularly to check for work conditions improvement opportunities. The surveys’ results are analyzed by management bodies to define the goals to reach to enhance worker’ well-being.

Regarding stakeholders, Entech’s executives have made a commitment to maintain a sound business ethic. It is a member of the UN Global Compact and does not participate in any lobbying. Directors and managers have been trained to the risks linked to unsafe and unresponsible practices. The company condemns corruption and influence peddling and aims to promote human rights and environmental rights. It is for this reason that Entech has published an ethical charter for its stakeholders, outlining the ethics in conducting business as well as in its relationships with employees. To guarantee the respect of these rules, the company is currently stting up a warning system open to employees, suppliers, and its clients. This system ensures confidential handling of reports and the protection of the person who shared it, who acted in good faith, against any form of retaliation.

Investing in people

Entech is a rapidly growing company, accompanied by a high level of recruitment activity. A diversity charter has been signed by the executives and all employees involved in candidate selection and employee career management, aiming to prevent any form of discrimination based on surnames, geographical origin, social origin, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, customs, family status, genetic characteristics, political opinions, trade union or mutual activities, religious beliefs, physical appearance, state of health, or pregnancy status.

Entech aims to reflect the diversity of society within its workforce and advocates for non-discrimination and diversity.

In the process of signing the French Tech Parity Pact, Entech commits to “accelerate towards a more gender-balanced start-up ecosystem” (Parity Pact). This pact highlights five main objectives focused on gender equality in governance bodies, training managers on diversity issues and combating discrimination, establishing a gender-balanced team of company representatives, and publishing non-gendered job offers.

To develop its professional environment and promote diversity, gender equality, and career diversification, Entech:

  • Encourages the advancement of women into positions of responsibility, whether they are technical, sales-oriented, or managerial;
  • Shares non-gendered job descriptions to encourage female profiles;
  • Works to reduce the gender pay gap;
  • Strives to achieve gender balance at various hierarchical levels.

The security of company’s employees is a priority for Entech. To assure it, Entech actively works toward risks prevention, through the Professional Risk Evaluation Document and specific prevention plan for each project Entech has the responsibility of, as well as regular audits. To further validate this approach, Entech has been certified by MASE. Furthermore, Entech has provided its employees with a platform to report any potentially dangerous situations (near accidents, workplace accidents, etc.), in order to consolidate the findings and propose targeted action plans.

The company is committed to ensuring a work-life balance for its employees and promoting well-being in the workplace, allowing for personal growth and fulfillment. In this regard, a telework charter has been signed with employee representatives. Additionally, Entech offers and facilitates extracurricular activities such as yoga or badminton.

Entech, aware of operating in a rapidly changing industry, recognizes the importance of training to help its employees adapt to their roles and functions, particularly upon joining the company. That is why Entech Academy was established in April 2022. Its purpose is to share knowledge and stimulate critical thinking on specific subjects such as sizing, batteries, converters, safety, project management, and more.

This initiative offers job-specific onboarding programs to delve deeper into the unique aspects of each position.

Entech knows the benefits of knowledge sharing, and wishes to develop its academy by centering its missions around seven main objectives:

  • Experience sharing
  • Process sharing
  • Sharing of best practices
  • Establishing common procedures
  • Solving malfunctions
  • Setting up automatisms
  • Discovering new tools

Environment protection

Sustainable energy development is the core purpose of Entech’s existence. Our headquarters building stands as a testament to that commitment. The E-Factory is a certified passive building by the PassivHaus Institute, demonstrating its energy-efficient design. Equipped with solar panels covering the roof, it generates surplus energy, exceeding its own needs. This surplus energy is shared with neighboring properties through a collective self-produced electricity consumption agreement facilitated by Entech.

The electricity generated also allows the charging of the company and workers’ electrical vehicles, free of charge.

In an effort to promote eco-friendly commuting, Entech encourage employees to bike to work and compensates them based on the distance traveled to the office.

Entech continues its commitment to decrease its footprint on the environment through numerous other actions such as eco grazing, rainwater recovery for gardening, or waste management for the whole company, headquarters and outside projects.

Our carbon footprint has been measured in June 2022, which helped us identify and prioritize the axis of Entech’s improvement strategies to reduce our environmental impact

All these actions have been validated by the ISO 14001 certification and the MASE certification process.

Social and solidarity actions

As a renewable energy company, Entech has volunteered to serve as a collection point for PV Cycles for end-of-life solar panels in the Quimper region, ensuring their proper recycling. Both professionals and individuals are welcome to bring their panels to the company headquarters for disposal. These panels are then taken care of and recycled by the Soren (PV Cycles) association.

Entech also engages in occasional initiatives, such as collecting essential goods during the war in Ukraine or contributing to the financing of a minibus for Ukrainian refugees in the Quimper region.
