Photovoltaic installation on a farm

In operation

The Moulins de Kerollet farming consortium situated in Arzal in the Morbihan department, has made the choice to diversify its investments by means of renewable energies. The desire of the associate members was to reduce the carbon footprint of the farms and to increase its energy independence. The farming consortium already had some solar panels on farm buildings as well as a biogas system. The consortium called upon Entech smart energies to develop these installations. We intervened for the creation of several photovoltaic installations on new farm buildings and on some of the stored energy.

Entech SE offered the consortium a turn-key system and provided, installed and connected up all the elements needed for the photovoltaic operation with resale and self-consumption. First of all on the photovoltaic part: 250 kW in 2017 and 100 kW in 2018. To this is added 50kW of self-consumption. These installations are broken down into 600kW in total of photovoltaic power for resale, 50kW for self-consumption (PV) with a storage system with 50kW of conversion and 50kWh of storage.

The injection power of the ENR systems is 1.3 MW. The whole is connected to a high voltage biogas sub-station.  To complete the installation, a storage system of 50 kW of conversion and 50kWh of storage was put in place in 2018 allowing production and consumption to be balanced.

We offered a turn-key system to the farm operators. From sizing studies of the installation to the technical needs for storage, Entech SE was responsible for all stages of the project.

The farming consortium continues its development of green energies with Entech SE. Two other turn-key installations are in the works, each with 100kW. They will be operational in 2020.

In brief
