Javené Solaire: A Collaborative Effort in Support of the Energy Transition
Inaugurated on October 3, 2026, the Javené solar power plant exemplifies the joint efforts of local governments, citizens, and businesses to promote the development of renewable energy. Entech participated in this project alongside Energ’iV, Énergies Ouvertes (ÉO), and Javené Énergies Citoyennes.

On October 3, 2026, the Javené solar power plant in Ille-et-Vilaine was officially inaugurated in the presence of elected officials, partners, citizen investors, and local residents.
This commissioning marks the culmination of several years of collaboration between public entities, businesses, and citizens committed to developing local renewable electricity generation. It demonstrates a region’s ability to bring together various stakeholders around a shared energy project.
Located on five hectares of previously unused municipal land, the plant comprises more than 6,000 photovoltaic panels with an installed capacity of 4 MWp. It produces more than 4 GWh of renewable electricity annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of approximately 1,500 residents.
Led by the project company Javené Solaire, this project brings together Energ’iV, Énergies Ouvertes (ÉO), Entech, and Javené Énergies Citoyennes (JEC), an organization created by 108 residents of the town. This shared governance model has made it possible to involve local stakeholders throughout the development of the facility. This approach has been recognized with the award of the national “Énergie Partagée” label, a benchmark for citizen-led renewable energy projects.
A forward-looking project
The task of utilizing the electricity generated has been entrusted to Enercoop, a cooperative provider of 100% renewable electricity. A study is also underway to assess the feasibility of a collective self-consumption initiative that would allow for the local sharing of a portion of this electricity.
The inauguration also provided an opportunity to showcase the measures implemented to promote biodiversity. Through guided tours and discussions with the teams involved, participants learned about the features integrated into the project to balance renewable energy production with the preservation of natural habitats.
For Entech, this project illustrates the importance of local partnerships in the development of energy infrastructure. By combining industrial expertise, civic engagement, and a strong local presence, Javené Solaire is making a tangible contribution to the energy transition and to strengthening renewable electricity production in Brittany.
