Requirements Related to Photovoltaic Shade Structures
French regulations encourage the development of renewable energy in outdoor parking lots. Depending on the characteristics of your site, certain parking areas may be subject to requirements to install photovoltaic shade structures.
In this context, the law is gradually mandating the installation of photovoltaic shade structures in certain outdoor parking lots. This applies in particular to existing or future parking lots with an area greater than 1,500 m². For these installations, regulations generally require that at least 50% of the parking lot’s surface area be covered by shade structures incorporating photovoltaic panels, in order to promote renewable energy production while improving user comfort (shade, reduction of heat islands).
